Abstract

31P MRS measurements on the M. gastrocnemius of professional volleyball players prior and after a plyometric training were performed to investigate muscle adaptation processes concerning the muscle fiber distribution. Decreased (PCr+Pi)/ATP ratios after the training in the medial part of the muscle indicate an adjustment from IIb into IIa or type I fibers
