Summary
The new species Tetrathylacium vraem (Salicaceae) is described. It inhabits terra firme forests that are threatened in the southern Amazon region of Peru. A description, illustrations, a distribution map, taxonomic key to the genus Tetrathylacium and taxonomic comparisons with similar species (T. longirachis, T. macrophyllum and T. nutans) are provided.
Resumen
Se describe la nueva especie Tetrathylacium vraem (Salicaceae). Habita en los bosques Amazónicos amenazados de "tierra firme" en la región sur del Perú. Se proporcionan descripciones, ilustraciones, mapa de distribución, clave taxonómica del género Tetrathylacium y comentarios taxonómicos con las especies similares: T. longirachis, T. macrophyllum y T. nutans.
