Vochysia pongo-qonecensis (Vochysiaceae), a new species from the Peruvian Andean-Amazonian piedmont forests

Abstract:

Vochysia pongo-qonecensis is described and illustrated. It occurs in the southern Peruvian pre-montane forests of the Andean-Amazonian piedmont. This species is placed in Vochysia sect. Ciliantha subsect. Micranthae. It has some morphological similarities with V. citrifolia and V. parviflora.

Resumen:

Se describe e ilustra Vochysia pongo-qonecensis. Ocurre en el bosque pre-montano del sur Peruano en el ámbito del bosque de pie de monte Andino-Amazónico. Esta especie se ubica en Vochysia sect. Ciliantha subsect. Micranthae. Presenta algunas similitudes morfológicas con las especies más proximas V. citrifolia y V. parviflora.
