Graphene oxide-grafted ferrocene moiety via ring opening polymerization (ROP) as a supercapacitor electrode material
2019, PolymerCitation Excerpt :The drop-coated GC electrode was dried under vacuum for 24 h. Thanks to the interesting characteristics of ferrocene derivatives and in continue of our researches [52–60] we decided to work on synthesis and design of new ferrocenyl oxirane derivative that can be used potentially at least in organic transformations. Oxiranes are good organic compounds candidate in polymerization reactions [69] and an excellent intermediates in organic synthesis.

2013, Comprehensive Inorganic Chemistry II (Second Edition): From Elements to ApplicationsSynthesis of novel ferrocenyl silyl ethers via dehydrocoupling reactions under Karstedt catalyst
2013, Journal of Organometallic ChemistryCitation Excerpt :They are starting materials in both organic and organometallic chemistry [7,8]. They have shown a broad variety of applications in materials [9,10], medicine [11–13], organic synthesis [14,15], organometallic polymers [16], dendritic macromolecules [17,18] and liquid crystals [19,20]. Ferrocene derivatives are a well-known class of one-electron donors which exhibit well established reversible redox couples.
Synthesis and characterization of cholesterol-based nonsymmetric dimers terminated with ferrocenyl core
2009, TetrahedronCitation Excerpt :Ferrocene-based metallomesogens have emerged as important liquid crystalline materials over last 10–20 years due to their novel thermal, optical, and magnetic properties.1,2 Ferrocene, because of its aromatic character, facilitates several substitutions whereby a range of low molecular mass calamitic (rod-like) systems can be prepared by mono-substitution, or 1,1-, 1,2-, 1,3-, di-substitution or 1,1,3-tri-substitution of the ferrocene nucleus.3–12 However, there are few reports on mono-substituted ferrocene-based metallomesogen in recent years.13,14
