First record of Oxytorinae (Hymenoptera: Ichneumonidae) from South America, with description of a new species of Oxytorus Förster, 1869

Abstract

The monotypic subfamily Oxytorinae is recorded for the first time from South America. Oxytorus peruvianus sp. n. from a Peruvian premontane rain forest is described and illustrated. Information on the habitat and phenology of the new species is reported.
