Abstract: Concrete is a compound which consists of binder with presence of water. The paper aims to investigate the influence of Poly Vinyl Alcohol (PVA) fiber on shear behaviour of concrete in structural element for which the conditions of pure shear established as an experiment without accompanying other stress components. The effect of PVA fiber with different dosages (0 – 0.3%) were analysed. The test was conducted to check failure in shear in an identified plane. Based on the test results of the investigation shear strength increased 20.78% and 43.18% for M20 and M50 grades of concrete respectively. The increment in dosage of fiber content reduces workability of fresh concrete. The empirical relationships have been established to calculate the values of shear strength for PVA fiber reinforced concrete in terms of fiber content.
