Ideas fatalistas ante el posible contagio de la COVID-19 según el tipo de enfermedad que padecían los pacientes peruanos
Resumen
El objetivo de este estudio fue determinar la asociación entre las ideas fatalistas ante el posible contagio del coronavirus según el tipo de enfermedad que padecían los pacientes peruanos. Se realizó un estudio analítico de datos secundarios, que usó una data previa para obtener a encuestados que padecían alguna enfermedad (según 9 grupos/especialidades médicas), se cruzó esto según el pensamiento fatalista (de una prueba validada). De los 4483 encuestados, 15% tuvo una enfermedad. Los que padecían una enfermedad respiratoria percibían que se complicarían post infección (p<0,001), también los que tenían algún cáncer o tumor (p<0,001) o los que tenían una enfermedad endocrinológica (p=0,002). Los que pensaban que se iba a deprimir si se enfermaban eran los que padecían una enfermedad respiratoria (p=0,013) o gastroenterológica (p=0,001). Aquellos que percibían que podrían morir fueron los que tenían una enfermedad respiratoria (p<0,001), los que tenían algún cáncer o tumor (p=0,007), enfermedades endocrinológicas (p<0,001) y neurológica o psiquiátrica (p<0,001). Podrían tomar una decisión fatal al enterarse de la infección los que tenían una enfermedad endocrinológica (p=0,039). En conclusión, algunos grupos de pacientes tienen una mayor percepción de enfermarse, complicarse, morir o, incluso, tomar otras acciones fatales post el enterarse que padecen la infección por coronavirus; por lo que, se les debe dar soporte psicológico.
