Abstract

The general objective of this research was to develop a hydraulic design proposal to store and treat graywater for reuse in green areas of a sustainable housing. The procedure carried out was based on calculations and designs in the office to then implement and inspect in the field, and finally take water samples to be analyzed at the Regional Water Laboratory before and after treatment by sedimentation and slow filtration of sand plus anthracite. The results obtained to determine if the water complies with the parameters of the ECA category 3 were: pre-test, pH (7,12) and color (9,1 UC) and for the post-test, pH (6,93) and color (4,00UC); an analysis was also performed with the pH meter in drops obtaining an average result, for the pre-test pH (7,5) and the post-test a pH (7,3). It is concluded that the proposed hydraulic design is sustainable, because it complies with the parameters established in the ECA category 3.
