(Lepeletier & Audinet-Serville 1825) (Coleoptera: Lymexylidae) is a species with a wide distribution in the American
continent but with only a previous record in Peru. In the present contribution a second record of the species is
incorporated to the fauna of Lymexylidae of the country, conformed by only three species. Data on the biology, hosts
and symbiosis known in the Neotropics are given and the information on the distribution of the family Lymexylidae in
Perú is synthesized.
