Norman has invited me to speak to you on behalf of the music rights societies represented by CISAC, the International Confederation of Societies, Authors and Composers who are participating in CIS - the Common Information System.
Collectively, CISAC members have been following with considerable interest the development of DOI for its relevance to the parallel developments within CIS. DOI has now reached a stage of maturity which demands that representatives from the music industry must seriously examine how DOI can provide solutions to enhance our future business.
For this reason we are present today. It is our intention to actively participate with you and your respective industries in nurturing the future of this important standard through our commitment to the work of the Foundation.
