2022, IcarusCitation Excerpt :The crater Pwyll seems an exception, as its dark interior shows much deeper ice bands than other dark features; in fact, water band depths and shape in Pwyll’s interior more closely match the bright plains areas in almost every case. ( Fig. 13) This is especially unexpected as Pwyll is considered the youngest of the large impact features on Europa (Moore et al., 2001). Other comparisons were more consistent with predictions.
