Abstract
Every company uses knowledge management tools — but only some of them are able to determine their effectiveness. This approach based on a survey method was developed in order to fill this information gap. By means of a three way survey, managers and non-managerial personnel were interviewed about the actual employment of knowledge management methods and tools. This information was assessed and in a further step aggregated into one radar diagram per company. Carried out in several companies, it allows the detection of best-practice knowledge management tools among them.
