Technical and vocational education and training (TVET) is increasingly considered to be an important instrument for public policy, not only for education but also for social and employment policies. While TVET’s objectives used to focus on preparing young people for work, it is now also expected to prevent and reduce unemployment, contribute to lifelong learning and act as a catalyst for social cohesion.
