Abstract
In this paper we examine the problem of representing different types of incomplete data in an information system. Clausal form logic is used as a representation language and we look at the consequences of the subsequent increase in expressive power. We propose a method of improving the system’s response to a query by giving an uncertainty measure based on entropy.
