Abstract
The importance of the idiotypic network in the regulation of the immune response of experimental animals has been amply established. The role of the idiotypic anti-idiotypic interactions in the regulation of the human immune response to antigen has been less extensively studied. In this review we will discuss data obtained from our laboratory 011 the role the idiotypic network plays in the regulation of human immunity in health and in disease states.
