Superradiance Effects in Molecular Systems

  • Chapter
Coherent Cooperative Phenomena

Part of the book series: The Lebedev Physics Institute Series ((LPIS,volume 87))

Abstract

A systematic generalization of Dicke’s theory of coherent spontaneous emission to multilevel radiators and second-order perturbation theory is presented. Superradiant effects and the structure of the coherent responses of an equilibrium system to pulses (for equidistant and nonequidistant spectra) are examined. Coherent spontaneous scattering effect are discussed.
