Abstract
Outsourcing of logistics processes is an interesting alternative to the traditional logistics model for e-shops. This approach can significantly reduce logistics costs and improve business efficiency. However outsourcing requires consideration of significant issues related to business operations and some organizational and technical problems. This study presents the differences in the approach to systems integration in the standard outsourcing model and in the dropshipping model, the advantages and disadvantages of both options as well as business and integration challenges for the implementation of the outsourcing in the e-commerce. Particular attention was paid to the scope of integration between IT systems, necessary for the proper functioning of any e-shop using outsourcing or dropshipping.
