Technologies and Innovation (CITI 2021)

Abstract

To comply with the implementation of this research, all the logical architecture was developed in free hardware and software, open-source, with a very low cost in the market. By using the Arduino microcontroller board, the sensors of ambient temperature, ambient humidity, toxic gases, soil moisture, food level, and water level were implemented. The Raspberry Pi4 minicomputer was also used as hardware so that the poultry keeper could upload the daily records of the poultry house and thus visualize all the environmental information of the poultry house in the developed web system. The validation of the results was focused on the costs and automation of decision making by the poultry managers, taking as a comparison the commercial systems used by large national and international poultry farms.
