Abstract

The paper is devoted to studying the stability of an electric drive with a PID controller. The paper considers the influence of the moment of inertia of the control object on the stability region of the electric drive. The drive is defined by the linear dynamic characteristic of the motor and the rotor moment of inertia. The transfer mechanism is considered as an elastic-dissipative element. The actuating mechanism is fully characterized by a constant equivalent moment of inertia. Different variants of feedback channels, both from the control object and from the motor rotor, are considered. A wide range of machines, in which the principle of program control with feedbacks is implemented, is studied in the paper.
