Abstract
This chapter provides an overview of analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converters and their applications in audio and video systems design. There are many factors affecting the performance of the converters and these can be minimized if designers understand the converter’s sampling techniques and quantization noise, the necessity of having input and output filters, and the proper system design and layout.
