Abstract
One of the most significant problems that communities face during times of crisis is gaining access to financial services. Over the last few decades, rapid developments in financial technology have significantly changed both people’s lives and business practices especially in the emergency circumstances. This research examines the role of FinTech applications in building resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic. The research attempts to empirically examines factors affecting Jordanian users’ intention to use FinTech applications by developing a conceptual model as an extension of UTAUT2 with: COVID-19 perceived risk and eWOM as predicted constructs, both of which the study expect to increase FinTech adoption among Jordanians. As a result, the current paper develops a model for FinTech adoption in Jordan.
