Abstract
The study aimed to explore the effect of work-life balance on the dimensions of organizational commitment (affective, continuance, and normative commitment) by collecting data by means of a questionnaire distributed to a sample of workers in one of the big food companies. The results showed a positive significant effect of work-life balance on the affective and normative commitment, and a negative effect of work-life balance on continuance commitment. These results agreed with some previous studies and differed with others. The study recommended the need to pay more attention to the balance of work because it improves employee emotional attachment and obligation to the organization and reduces their assessment of their relationship with the organization through the costs they incur in the case of leaving the organization. Researchers are recommended to study work-life balance by focusing on its dimensions and not as a whole variable.
