Abstract

The conventional vertical Electro-calciner is used to produce either semi-graphitized petroleum coke or anthracite, and its maximum center temperature is approximately 2000 °C. This paper analyzes the application statuses and characteristics of vertical Electro-calciner and presents the improvement direction by modeling analysis and calculation. The improved vertical Electro-calciner can produce the desired quality of graphitized coke or graphitized anthracite with the calcined coke or anthracite as the raw material, with continuous operation and center temperature peaking at 3000 °C in the actual production application.
