Abstract

The SEWASIE (SEmantic Webs and AgentS in Integrated Economies) European IST project aims at enabling a uniform access to heterogeneous data sources through an integrated ontology. The overall project development strictly follows a user-centred design methodology. Users have been involved from the very beginning and are constantly participating in the design and testing of the system, in order to obtain a first example of visual interface user-dedicated for an ontology-based search engine. In the poster we describe the end-user interface component for query composition. We describe the user-centred design of the interface, the underlying logic based technologies, and the formal principles of support and interaction.
