Abstract
In recent years research investigations have enhanced considerably our knowledge about the flow over the leeside of a delta wing in low and transonic speeds. But we still know relatively little about the corresponding flow in hypersonic speed. The flow here is very near to vacuum, and the extent of vortical flow structures, if any, is not generally known. The purpose of this work is to study the leeside flow over a thick blunt- edged delta wing of 70° sweep at M ∞ = 7.15 and α = 30° by means of numerical simulations using the Euler and Navier- Stokes equations.
