Abstract

This research approach is focused on the investigation of a) Real-Time Distributed (RTD) Systems Development, and b) Simulation.

The approach addresses the application of computer simulation and modeling of real-time control systems within a distributed context. Our premise is to apply a simulation-based technique to analyze the reliability and timeliness of such systems. In addition, this research will investigate how to model and describe failure conditions, as well as determine their containment and recovery strategies.

This work is being supported by NASA Langley Research Center and the Integrated Diagnostics program office at Wright Patterson, AFB.
