Zusammenfassung
Die dritte Welle der COVID-19-Pandemie scheint überwunden. Demgegenüber hat die Pandemie vieles offengelegt, Neues gefordert und bis dato Bewährtes und Etabliertes musste hintenanstehen. Aus einer (professions-)ethischen Perspektive heraus lohnt eine fundierte und empirisch abgestützte retrospektive Betrachtung auf die vergangenen Monate. Der Blick zurück auf die bisherigen ethischen Herausforderungen im Kontext der Pandemie, auf die moralischen Belastungen der professionell Pflegenden sowie auf die fragilen institutionellen und strukturellen Rahmenbedingungen wie auch die unzulängliche Krisenfestigkeit und erhebliche Vulnerabilität der Institutionen soll einerseits die dringend notwendigen Handlungsbedarfe verdeutlichen aber auch den Blick für die Bedeutsamkeit moralischer Entlastung professionell Pflegender schärfen. Neben einem veränderten Krisenmanagement, neben der professionellen Handlungssicherheit im Kontext von (pandemischen) Krisen, erscheint uns das Augenmerk auf die Pflegenden und deren moralischen Belastungen im Kontext der Pandemie – die sich mit Bewältigung der Pandemie nicht per se und automatisch dezimieren oder gar eliminieren – besonders signifikant. Die Darlegung der unterschiedlichen Erlebensqualitäten der moralischen Belastung und der Facetten moralischen Belastungserlebens professionell Pflegender im Rahmen der Pandemie bilden in der Folge den Fokus des Beitrages. Die Ausführungen stehen zugleich exemplarisch für den damit verbundenen Handlungsbedarf – auch außerhalb einer Pandemie. Das heißt, die retrospektive Betrachtung im Lichte der Pandemie dient an dieser Stelle dazu, aktuelle pandemiebezogene Interventionsbedarfe zur moralischen Entlastung herauszuarbeiten. Der Beitrag soll aber auch dazu dienen, die Qualitäten moralischer Belastung in der professionellen Pflege (am Beispiel der Pandemie) darzulegen, um so in zukünftigen (pandemischen) Krisen moralische Belastungssituationen zu präventieren und für zukünftige (pandemische) Krisen bzw. komplexe oder neue Herausforderungen die relevanten institutionellen und personellen Vorkehrungen zu antizipieren. Leitend ist hierbei die Fragestellung: Wie können die Erlebensqualitäten moralischer Belastung konturiert, wie können diese nachhaltig präventiert werden und welche Maßnahmen zur moralischen Entlastung, zum Schutz der moralischen Integrität und zur Stärkung der moralischen Resilienz sind indiziert und seitens der Institutionen im Gesundheitswesen – unabhängig von einer Pandemie und Krisensituation – zu rahmen und zu realisieren?
