Zusammenfassung

Dieses Kapitel befasst sich mit einem Phänomen, welches das Zusammenleben in unserer Gesellschaft aktiv bedroht. Es geht um den sozialen Hass gegen Juden, Schwarze, Fremde, Andersdenkende, Schwule, Wohnungslose, Menschen mit Behinderungen und weitere Gruppen, die vom Standpunkt der Hassenden gesellschaftlich wertlos sind. Der soziale Hass äußert sich durch die Hassrede (Hate Speech), Hassaggression oder auch Hasskriminalität (Hate Crime). Hasserinnen und Hasser nutzen soziale Medien als Instrumente, mit denen sie den Hass verbreiten und zu hassmotivierten Straftaten aufrufen. Die Häufigkeit von Hassäußerungen steigt. Sie gehören schon zu unserem Alltag. Die sozialpsychologische Erforschung des sozialen Hasses mit Ursachen und der Motivation von Hassenden ist bisher lückenhaft. In diesem Kapitel werden vorhandene sozialpsychologische Erkenntnisse zu den zunehmen wichtigen Fragen der Hassthematik erörtert.
