Laser Cladding with Pneumatic Powder Delivery

  • Chapter
Applied Laser Tooling

Abstract

A process of laser cladding using Argon blown powder delivery is described. The effect of the process parameters on the quality of the clad layer is discussed. The flexibility and versatility of this process are noted together with the significant process improvement obtained using a reflective shroud and shot blasted specimen.
