Abstract

Through the analysis of data returned from the three Rice Suprathermal Ion Detectors we have obtained information on the particle regimes present in the geomagnetic tail at lunar distances. We are able to distinguish the existence of two distinct particle populations and to quantify many of their spatial and plasma characteristics.
