Abstract

The rotifer fauna of the river Samborombös tributaries (La Plata river basin) was analysed, and 47 species of monogonont rotifers were identified. Results indicate that differences in salinity and ion composition between waters of the main river and that of its tributaries account for differences in the species composition.
