Abstract

EUS-guided pancreatic cyst chemoablation has emerged as an innovative and minimally invasive approach for the treatment of neoplastic pancreatic cysts. Recently it has been shown that alcohol-free pancreatic cyst ablation offers an effective treatment option for appropriately selected mucinous cyst tumors with a superior safety profile compared to alcohol-based treatments, yet with preservation of treatment efficacy, to a patient population otherwise facing the alternatives or a major pancreatic surgery.
