Notes

  1. 1.

Equations (1.19), (1.20) and (2.2) would be called the zeroth, first and second moments of the distribution function \(f(t, \textbf{x}, \textbf{v})\) with respect to the velocity \(\textbf{v}\), respectively.

  2. 2.

In quantum dynamics, electron, ion and light have the duality of wave and particle. Energy is quantized. For the Fermi particles, including electron, one energy state is occupied by only one particle. However, any number of the Bose particles, including photon, occupy one state.

  3. 3.

For the detail derivations of Eqs. (2.40) and (2.41), see, for example, Ref. [13].
