Summary
We report a case of testicular teratoma and diastematomyelia in a patient with Klinefelter's syndrome (47XXY). There have been a sufficient number of reports of germ-cell tumours in Klinefelter's syndrome to suggest that the syndrome carries an increased risk of development of such tumours, but very few of these have been sited in the testis. Whether Klinefelter's syndrome is associated with an increased risk of germ-cell neoplasms in gonadal as well as extragonadal sites, or whether the testis is spared this increased risk, remains to be seen.
