Summary
Distal hypoplasia of the basilar artery is reported with reference to the genetic history of the arteriocerebral vessels in the regions of both Willis' circle and the posterior cranial fossa. Mention is made of the clinical importance to be attributed to underdeveloped posterior part of the basal arterial circle vessels.

Les auteurs rapportent un cas d'hypoplasie du segment distal de l'artère basilaire, en se référant au développement génétique des vaisseaux artériels cérébraux dans les régions du cercle de Willis et de la fosse postérieure. Ils rappellent l'importance clinique de l'hypoplasie de la partie postérieure des vaisseaux du cercle de Willis.
Zusammenfassung
Unter Bezugnahme auf die Entwicklungsgeschichte der arteriellen Hirngefäße im Be-Bereich des circulus arteriosus Willisii und der hinteren Schädelgrube werden distale Hypoplasien der a. basilaris geschildert. Auf die klinische Bedeutung der Unterentwicklung des hinteren Abschnittes des basalen Gefäßkranzes wird hingewiesen.
