Summary
The flow of an incompressible, viscous, electrically conducting fluid in a long channel of rectangular cross section due to a periodic pressure gradient, in the presence of a uniform transverse magnetic field is investigated. Exact solutions are obtained and asymptotic forms valid for large Hartmann numbers are discussed.
