Immunological determination of aqueous humor lipoproteins

Summary

The solely present protein of lipid metabolism in human aqueous humor is α-lipoprotein. β-Lipoprotein (molecular weight 3 200 000) cannot pass the blood-aqueous-barrier and was therefore undiscoverable in the normal aqueous humors we analysed.

Zusammenfassung

Im menschlichen Kammerwasser konnte mit immunchemischen Methoden nur das α-Lipoprotein nachgewiesen werden. Das β-Lipoprotein mit einem Molekulargewicht von 3 200 000 war in keinem untersuchten Kammerwasser zu identifizieren, da die Blut-Kammerwasser-Schranke für dieses Riesenmolekül nicht zu durchdringen ist.
