Summary
The authors stress the danger connected with ventriculography and puncture of the ventricles in the face of increased intracranial pressure and point out the possibility of causing progressive porencephalies along the canal of puncture due to encephalomalacia. They warn not to be too liberal concerning the indication for such procedures, especially the technique of puncturing without stylet or attempts to aspirate cerebrospinal fluid.
