A preliminary note on a new optomotor response in crickets: Antennal tracking of moving targets

Summary

Black disks moving horizontally in the visual field of a cricket (Gryllus campestris) induce an antennal tracking response. It consists of movements of the ipsilateral antenna following the target in a saccade-like fashion.
