Summary
By comparing the natural activities in biosphere and building materials at Chandigarh and Tokyo, we found that at both these places, contamination due to nuclear bomb explosions and nuclear power plants is absent. However, in earth and building materials, members of the radioactive thorium series and40K are in large quantities at Tokyo compared to Chandigarh. The relative concentration of radioactive uranium is comparable at both these places.
