Conclusions

  1. 1.

The basic premises of the modern theory of volume filling of micropores were critically examined.

  2. 2.

The calculation apparatus of this theory can be based not upon the premise of temperature invariance of the characteristic curve, but upon the assertion of virtual linearity of the isosteres of the total content in the case of adsorption in micropores.

  3. 3.

Two methods were outlined, one of which pertains to the region of large degrees of filling, and the other to the region of small degrees of filling, permitting a calculation of the parameters of adsorption equilibrium within a broad range of temperatures and pressures according to a single adsorption isotherm.
