Theory of adsorption from nonelectrolyte solutions on solid adsorbents

2. Experimental verification of the equation for the adsorption isotherm from solutions

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Summary

  1. 1.

An analysis based on the experimental data of the authors, and a certain amount of data in the literature, has shown the correctness of the molecular exchange adsorption equation from solutions derived by the authors.

  2. 2.

The method of finding the value of the adsorptional volume, developed by Kiselev and Shcherbakova is of limited applicability.

  3. 3.

A method is proposed for finding the amounts of pure substances adsorbed, from the maximum point on the curve of effective adsorption.
