C-Methylierungen mit Diazomethan am Benzopyron-und am Carbostyril-Ringsystem

Zusammenfassung

Bei der Einwirkung von Diazomethan auf Cumarine, welche in Position 3 Substituenten mit ausgeprägtem—I-Effekt auf-weisen, kommt es zur Bildung von 4-Methylcumarinen bzw. Benzopyranopyrazolinen. Der Reaktionsverlauf dieser C-Methylierungen wird diskutiert. 3-Cyancarbostyril zeight nicht dieselbe Reaktion, doch gelingt es, durch C-Methylierung eines Zwischenproduktes der Synthese mit Diazomethan zum 3-Cyan-4-methylcarbostyril zu gelangen.

Abstract

The reaction of diazomethane with coumarins is investigated. Coumarins with a substituent in position 3 showing a strong —I-effectyield 4-methyl-coumarins and benzopyranopyrazolines, resp. The mechanism of the C-methylations is discussed. 3-Cyanocarbostyril does not react with CH₂N₂. By C-methylation of an intermediate of the synthesis with diazomethane 3-cyano-4-methylcarbostyril is obtained.
