Conclusions

The thermal decomposition of ozone was studied within the temperature interval 136–226‡.

The experimental data were explained by the following reaction mechanism O3+M⇌O2+O+M O+O3=O2+O2

The rate constant of the latter process k=(2.9±0.9) ·1012.e(−3700±300)/RT, cm3-mole−1· sec−1, was meastured.
