Conclusions
The influence of the initial pressure, surface of the reaction vessel, and inhibitors of free radical processes on the rate of decomposition of nitrobenzene in the gas phase was investigated. Conditions were found under which the decomposition of nitrobenzene proceeds monomolecularly, and the kinetic characteristics of the step corresponding to cleavage of the Ph-NO2 bond were determined.
