Conclusions

Kinetic characteristics for C-N bond rupture, the first elementary step in gas-phase decomposition, have been estimated for 13 derivatives of nitrobenzene.

A correlation equation relating molecular structures and rate constants has been developed for p- and m-derivatives with donor-type substituents.
