Effect of organic additives on activity of PdCl2, in synthesis of phenyl isocyanate by carbonylation of nitrobenzene

Conclusions

The activity of PdCl2 as a catalyst for the carbonylation of nitrobenzene to phenyl isocyanate at 190° and an initial CO pressure of 100 atm increases by 6–9 times when either pyridine or quinoline is added to the reaction system.
