Summary

A class of nonlinear constitutive equations of rate-type are considered for viscoelastic-plastic continua and explicit restrictions are derived from thermodynamics. Some aspects of the associated linearized theory with isothermal deformations are also discussed.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird eine Klasse von Materialgleichungen vom Geschwindigkeits-Typ für viskoelastisch-plastische Kontinua betrachtet. Explizite Einschränkungen werden aus der Thermodynamik hergeleitet. Einige Gesichtspunkte der zugehörigen linearen Theorie isothermer Deformationen werden ebenfalls diskutiert.
