An experimental investigation concerning yield surfaces and loading surfaces

Eine experimentelle Untersuchung, die sich mit Fließflächen und Lastflächen befaßt

Summary

This paper presents the results of experiments concerning the motion of the yield and the loading surfaces and the interrelation between these two motions. It is shown that the yield surface tends to become tangent to the loading surface, and that the plastic strain vector is normal to the yield surface.

Zusammenfassung

In dieser Arbeit werden Ergebnisse von Versuchen präsentiert, die sich mit der Bewegung der Fließ- und Lastflächen und der Wechselbeziehung zwischen diesen zwei Bewegungen befassen. Es wird gezeigt, daß sich die Fließfläche tangential zur Lastfläche einstellt, und daß der Verzerrungsvektor der plastischen Verformung normal zur Fließfläche steht.
