Separation and determination of copper in steel and alloy

Summary

Selective separation of copper(II) from iron, cobalt, nickel, zinc, cadmium and vanadium is achieved by liquid-liquid extraction with TOA either from HCl or HBr media. The method is shown to be applicable to alloys.

Zusammenfassung

Die selektive Abtrennung des Kupfers von Eisen, Kobalt, Nickel, Zink, Cadmium und Vanadin erzielt man durch Flüssig-flüssig-Extraktion mit Trioktylamin aus salzsaurem oder bromwasserstoffsaurem Medium. Das Verfahren ist auch für Legierungen verwendbar.
